Berna's Bakery & Cafe is Issaquah's only authentic Turkish restaurant a women-owned, chef-run kitchen on NW Gilman Blvd where traditional recipes are honored every day. Every dish is made from scratch by Chef Berna herself. This is not fusion. It is the food Chef Berna grew up with, prepared the way it has always been prepared.
Turkish Breakfast in Issaquah — Kahvaltı Done Right
In Turkey, breakfast (kahvaltı) is not something you eat quickly. It is the beginning of the day.
Our Breakfast Party Spread is built for two to three people: cheeses, olives, house-made jams, fresh vegetables, clotted cream and honey, garlic carrot cream, and a copper pan of Menemen eggs, with simit, bread buns, and endless tea or coffee. It is our most popular order.
Turkish Entrées & Mezze Made From Scratch
Our entrée menu includes favorites like House Kofte (tender homemade meatballs), Kavurma Pilav (slow-cooked beef over Turkish rice), and the Chicken Shawarma Sandwich — a customer favorite with house-made spiced chicken, creamy sauce, greens, tomatoes, and pickles along with other traditional Turkish dishes made fresh daily.
Our Mezze Platter includes hummus, fire-roasted eggplant, muhammara, jajik, garlic carrot cream, and yaprak dolma (stuffed vine leaves) served with house-baked bread. The mezze platter can be made gluten-free — we substitute the bread with chips.

We're located at 317 NW Gilman Blvd, Suite #3, Issaquah, WA 98027 minutes from Depot Park and the Issaquah Depot Museum, and a short drive from Tiger Mountain trails. Our regulars come from Olde Town Issaquah and the Issaquah Highlands, and we also draw guests from Bellevue, Sammamish, and Renton.
All food is prepared to Zabiha halal standards. We offer gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian options.
